Overview
My return policy lasts for the lifetime of the flag you purchased from HandCraftedbyJohn.com and will be exchanged (NOT REFUNDED), no questions asked, with ONE caveat: to return an item for exchange YOU are responsible for the shipping costs to return the “damaged” flag and re-ship “a new flag” to your desired address.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds on Custom Orders
Once your refund request is received, we will send an email to notify you that we have received your request and, depending on the state of completion, we will notify you of our next step.
STATE of COMPLETION:
- Materials ordered, purchased or cut, NO REFUND
- Under Construction, NO REFUND
- Completed, 100% REFUND once your Commissioned Flag has been sold. Note: I will make every effort to sell your flag on your behalf and at the same price you purchased it for unless you want me to discount the sale price to move it quicker. You will receive 100% of that sale price once your commissioned flag has sold.
If you are approved and the flag sells, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your credit card within 30 days.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at {John@HandCraftedbyJohn.com} to receive a “return Number” and authorization. You may then send your item to: {13901 Midway Rd. Dallas Texas 75244}.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a new flag (of similar size and design) will be mailed to you or the desired recipients address.
Shipping returns
To return your product, you must contact us PRIOR to returning your product and get a Return Number and Authorization. Once HCBJ has been informed of the return, you should then mail your product to: 13901 Midway Rd. Dallas Texas 75244 for your exchange or refund.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
